Daisy Lowe's Birthday Party

I have been doing bits and pieces with Daisy for quite a while now, a year or so at least.

Tonight Daisy was coming down to the Boogaloo in Highgate to just have a quiet drink after the Vivien Westwood event at London Fashion week. When she arrived at the Boogaloo, she had no idea that there was a private area out the back in the courtyard full of her friends. Jaime Winstone and Alfie Allen were lovely and Alfie was chatting away about the state of the industry and telling me how his dad is whilst living in the Gloucestshire countryside.

The brilliant V V Brown, Eliza Doolittle, Jamie Winstone, Alfie Allen, Henry Holland and others were gathered ready to sing Happy Birthday to her.

I was there in force with my two sons who just for a change fancied hanging out with their dad. Which was really nice. I only wish I wasn't working and it could have been better in a way. I had to keep one eye on the event, as I was the only photographer allowed inside. Which kind of took the shine off me having a rare night out with my boys. Anyway, it was really nice. We got some nice shots of Daisy who as always is really nice. VV Brown was also charming and very nice. Sounds like a bit of a love in doesn't it, but, it was a very pleasant gathering with no drama's or problems.. Other than my flash gun playing the fool and over flashing every time I took a shot.. But, I dealt with it and will now get it and my other flash guns all repaired this week.

Starsailor Secret Warm up Gig

Tonight was off to the Lumineirre in Kilburn, North London. I was shooting Starsailor. They were doing a small and intimate warm up gig. They haven't played together for a while and they have a new guitarist as well. When I arrived I met up with the band in the dressing room and I gave James Walsh a couple of photos that he and I spoke about last year. One was a shot of Johnny Cash that I took back in 1980 and the other was a live Rolling Stones shot of Ronnie Wood and Mick Jagger taken in 1976 I think. I really cant remember exactly when it was, but I do know that it was Earls Court. It was a great gig.
